Weekday services in the parish to which all are welcome. At St Barnabas
Holy Communion is celebrated on Wednesdays at 10.30am and usually Evening Prayer is said on Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday at 5.00pm and Morning Prayer on Tuesday and Friday at 9.00 am. Services for the week are in SEVENDAYS which is available from St Barnabas or Christ's Chapel.
From the very earliest times,
Christians have kept certain days and times of the year as special
times for worship. Sunday, for example, the first day of the week,
was regularly celebrated as both the day of resurrection and of
creation. Advent, Christmas and Easter are just some of the
Seasons
which make up the Church's year.
Baptisms, funerals and
marriage services
Baptism (Christening) marks the beginning of the life of Christian
discipleship and services of baptism take place at St Barnabas.
