Singing with us
The Church Times wrote about the Choir of St Barnabas Dulwich:
“St Barnabas’s Dulwich [an] unauditioned, strikingly versatile and polished church choir… one of the most imaginative modern buildings in the capital… the church choir – an exciting large ensemble, marvellously assured and impressively unified, and whose extraordinary calibre would emerge in the last work – here yielded up the first of a notable team of soloists whose calibre never ceased to amaze me… in The Lion of Judah… this beautifully rehearsed choir and its well-refined soloists came into their own. [It is an] ideal work for the St Barnabas’s forces, whose eloquence and expression made them a match for more sophisticated ensembles… not a solo was found wanting… great delicacy… the lightly dancing effect… the choral singing was utterly enchanting… and made way for an almost sensual and reflective sextet.”
Why not join our unauditioned choir?
Although some experience of singing is helpful, there is no requirement that you need to read music. Music is shared in advance of weekly rehearsals so there is plenty of time to prepare.
If you would like to join the choir, please speak to Christopher Woodward, Director of Music, after a service or email him here.
