At St Barnabas with Christ’s Chapel, we love welcoming new members, whatever their age, into our family. One way we do this, is by baptising people into the life of the church.
Baptism for a Child
We are delighted that you are thinking about a baptism at St Barnabas with Christ’s Chapel for your child. In baptism, parents, godparents and the church community promise to support your child in their Christian faith.
We ask families who are ready to make this commitment to join us for a baptism preparation class prior to their child’s baptism. You must attend the class before we can organise a baptism service.

BAPTISM SERVICES
Our baptism services take place on the 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month. On the 1st Sunday, the baptism service takes place at 12pm. This service is a simple, spoken service. On the 3rd Sunday, the baptism service takes place during our 10am Parish Communion.
We hold baptisms at Christ’s Chapel twice a year for families with a special connection to the Chapel. If you are interested in this, you will still need to attend a preparation class at St Barnabas first.
